What AI tools are available?
Two, neither of which asks for an API key. The token visualizer shows how a piece of text is split into tokens and whether it fits the context window of GPT, Claude, or Gemini — exact counts for OpenAI models, estimates for the rest, with a colour block per token. The bilingual tone checker reads a draft message back to you as warm, formal, or direct, in English and Traditional Chinese.
Do AI tools send my text to a server?
No. Both run entirely in your browser — no backend, no API call, nothing left once you close the tab. That is also why neither asks for a key: there is nothing to send. Tokenizing happens locally, and the tone checker works from rules and word lists rather than a remote model.
Which of the two do I want?
Writing a prompt, or estimating what an API call will cost — the token visualizer, because token count is what you are actually billed on and it rarely matches your intuition for CJK text. About to send a message and unsure whether it reads as blunt or stiff — the tone checker. The tone checker covers English and Traditional Chinese; other languages are not supported today.
